Our Youth Development Program supports young New Americans as they adjust to life in the U.S., helping them succeed in school, build leadership skills, and prepare for their futures.
The program includes two connected components — School Impact and Youth Mentoring — designed to work together for long-term growth and community engagement.
School Impact Program
The School Impact component focuses on helping refugee and immigrant youth and their families successfully navigate the U.S. school system.

Support with school registration and communication between schools and families

Help setting up online parent accounts, bus schedules, and school supplies

Assistance applying for free and reduced lunch programs

Coordination for parent–teacher conferences

Who Can Join

Middle and high school students (ages 12–18)

Young adults (ages 15–24) who are New Americans, refugees, or English learners

Youth motivated to grow, learn, and connect with the community
Youth Mentoring Program
The Youth Mentoring component empowers young people (ages 15–24) to become active, confident members of their community.
Through group and one-on-one mentorship, we focus on:

Leadership and civic engagement

Career exploration through partnerships with local schools, Job Service, and the Chamber of Commerce

Workforce readiness and goal-setting

Academic and life skills (English, math, financial literacy, and school transitions)
